Quick Summary: kids will enjoy reading it!.
The Story is pretty straightforward. Leo,(a mouse) a knight loves to read than fight. Being a knight Leo’s parents want him to fight a dragon. Though not interested, Leo goes on this journey with bags full of books. On his way, he encounters a troll to whom he reads a lovely book. Then he faces a griffin which he easily befriends by reading yet another book. Finally, he enters the town where the dragon has been terrorizing the people.
Despite everyone warning him Leo approaches the dragon. He immediately gets the dragons attention by telling him that he has loads of books about dragons. What’s interesting is before reading the book Leo asks the dragon to clean up all the mess he made. I was just pulled out of book and back into reality. I could totally relate . Though my son is not a dragon and I a mighty knight, bringing in simple and realistic situations into the story makes this story an exciting read. While it’s fun and exciting read the book is mellow enough to enjoy it as a bedtime story.
