Hug or Huggy,  there is so much warmth in these words!. What better than to read a snugly huggy book at bedtime?! I’m Going To Give You A Bear Hug – Children’s Bedtime Story, by author Caroline B. Cooney, is just the book to read.  Bedtime stories are part of our bedtime routine. We read a lot of books, and our little one loves her bear. So what better than to read a Bear Hug story!

Imaginative examples like dog hug or a wet and drippy, slimy, slippy fish hug, a horse hug or a bear hug, make this book very interactive. The rhyming in the book is simple and also is well-worded to keep the young one’s interested. The hugs from many animals such as bears, horses, pigs, fishes, and more were brightly illustrated.

Overall this book is a great read, as you and your little one try to drift off to sleep. Let me say, if and only if those curious little eyes are willing to drift off or if  you don’t here ” mommy can we read another book.”
